I was just hired by the IIHS and your video was a fantastic way to learn more about the work I'll be doing. I can't wait to deep dive into all your research so I can better understand the history of this place!
I own a car that also had stellar crash safety design for it's day. It still gets brought up in owner discussions, but usually ignoring that standards and tests have advanced over the last *40 years*. Any modern car would have better safety now.
Makes sense, I think there can be a huge attachment to vehicles that can make safety considerations less important and ignorable if it meant having to get rid of a vehicle you love.
Hi Andrew, my name is Brenton Chu and I’m a sophomore at Burlington High School in Massachusetts. I am writing about the evolution of crash safety for my National History Day project and it would be extremely helpful if you could share your sources and links which you used for your Youtube video. My email is brentonchu08@gmail.com. Please let me know if this is a possibility. Thank you

Thanks for the kind comments Skye! Really excited for you! I'll be dropping all my sources here.

As a fellow 2nd gen Honda Fit owner, engineer, and safety nut, I look forward to anything you found interesting in your research!
Yeah GE8! I'll do my best!

Brenton, have you reached out to anyone at IIHS? Someone here could probably answer a lot of questions and there are people you could interview.
